Information we collect
Information you provide: When you create an account, use our services, or contact us, we collect your name, email address, and any content you create (reflection journal entries, quiz responses, and AI mentor conversation history).
Usage data: We automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and interactions with our platform.
Payment information: Payment transactions are processed by Stripe. We store only a Stripe customer ID; we never store full card numbers, CVV, or expiry dates.
Communications: If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store your email address via MailerLite to send updates and educational content. Suggestion and support messages (and the email address, if given) are stored so the site team can read and answer them, and are not used for marketing.

Your data is stored on servers in the United States. We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit and encryption at rest. Reflection journal entries are private by default and are never shared with third parties.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of your personal data, and you may withdraw consent for analytics or advertising cookies. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information is collected. We do not sell personal information.
To exercise these rights, contact privacy@arborsage.com. We will respond within 30 days. EU/EEA residents may also lodge a complaint with their local supervisory authority.
Data retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. You may delete your account at any time; personal data will be removed within 30 days. Anonymized analytics data may be retained longer for statistical purposes.
AI chat assistant
When you use our AI-powered chat assistant, your messages are processed to generate responses, and we retain transcripts for quality assurance and product improvement. Chat transcripts are not sold to third parties. You may request deletion of your chat data by contacting privacy@arborsage.com.
Children’s privacy
ArborSage is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have collected such information, contact privacy@arborsage.com and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
